How do I get to the Studio?

Our studio is located in Plaza Zurich, Bukit Damansara. Head to the main lobby, walk towards the doors/hallway to the right of MyNews, then make another right. Walk through the illuminated blue doors, next to the lift, and walk up the stairs.

Do I need to pay for a membership to do a class?

No, a membership/subscription is not required. You will however need to create an account with us before booking into a class.

How long is the contract period?

There are no contracts at Journey, you pay for however many classes you want to take.

Do I need to make an account to join a class?

Yes, you will need to register an account with a valid email address.

I have a ClassPass subscription, can I join through ClassPass?

Yes, we’re available on the ClassPass app! You won’t be able to choose or move your allocated bike once booked into a class though.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We do, but you will need to create an account with us and will only be able to join the next available class which has bikes to spare.

What are the studio opening hours?

Our opening hours will depend on the allocated class times. Please check out the schedule to find out our class times. We will open an hour before the first class and an hour after the last class.

Can Journey book classes for me via email or telephone?

No, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we will be able provide this service for all our riders, so it’s best to book yourself via the website.

I can’t make it to my class, what do I do?

You can cancel your class by going to your account. Click Login/Signup, enter your account details, click on the burger icon to the right, click My Classes, and press ‘Unreserve’ under the Actions column. Your credit will be returned to your account once unreserved.

If you are cancelling your class within 12 hours of the allocated class time, you will see a ‘Late Cancel’ option instead. Late cancelling will not return the credit back into your account, as cancelling late will have prevented others from being able to join the class at an earlier date.

What happens if I don’t show up to my class?

Your attendance will be recorded as a ‘No Show’, and your credit will not be returned to your account.

What kind of bikes does Journey use?

Journey uses Schwinn AC Performance Plus Indoor Bikes, with a Carbon Blue Belt Drive and Morse Taper

How many bikes are there in the Ride Room?

At the moment, we have a maximum capacity of 27 bikes.

How do I buy credits?

Click ‘Buy’ on the navigation bar, then scroll down to your preferred package. You will be redirected to log in to your Journey Account before purchase.

Please do read the terms for each package, as they differ from package to package.

It’s my first time at Journey, how do I join a class?

You will need to first register an account with us. After you have created an account, you can buy a package to use to book into classes, which can be viewed by clicking on the ‘Schedule’ link on the top navigation bar.

Do I have to buy credits online?

You can either buy credits online or in-studio at the front desk. Our front desk supports cash, QR, and Visa & Mastercard payments.

What is an activation date?

The activation date of a package is sort of like a buffer period before your dedicated expiry period for the package kicks in. Please do not, if you do note activate your package within the activation period, your package and credits will expire.

Can I book out the entire Ride Room?

You can’t book the entire class through credits, but you can rent out the studio via a Private Class - click here to find out more.

If I cancel my class, will I get my credit back?

If you cancel your class before the allowed cancellation period (outside of 12 hours before the stated class time), your credit will be returned to your account. If you cancel within 12 hours before the stated class time, you will be recorded with a ‘Late Cancel’ and your credit will NOT be returned to your account.

Are packages refundable?

No, once a package is purchased, it is not eligible for a refund.

How do I get to the Studio?

My package just expired, can I request for an extension?

No.

Do you have a student discount?

Yes, drop an email to hello@journey-ours.com to find out our student rate, or ask one of our Guides in-studio.

Do you have a corporate discount?

Yes! Kindly contact hello@journey-ours.com or fill in this form. We will get back to you on how we support companies under our Corporate Scheme.

How do I join a Journey class?

You will need to first register an account with us. After you have created an account, you can buy a package to use to book into classes, which can be viewed by clicking on the ‘Schedule’ link on the top navigation bar.

Which classes can I book for?

You can reserve a bike for all our classes on our schedule - click here to check out our weekly schedule.

When does the schedule drop?

Our schedule drops every Saturday at 5:45pm and releases classes for the next two weeks.

Can I book bikes for my friends?

Yes, but only for certain packages. Packages with a higher credit count will allow more bookable spots under one account.

How do I cancel my class?

You can cancel your class by going to your account. Click Login/Signup, enter your account details, click on the burger icon to the right, click My Classes, and press ‘Unreserve’ under the Actions column. Your credit will be returned to your account once unreserved.

The class says it’s full, can I still join?

If a class is full, you can opt to join the Waitlist. If a spot were to open up, should you be on the top of the waitlist, you will be notified that you have successfully enrolled into the class via the waitlist.

You will not be added into the class from the waitlist if the dropout was a Late Cancel.

I accidentally picked the wrong bike, what do I do?

If you reserved your bike within the Cancellation Period (not within 12 hours of your stated class time), you can unreserve yourself from the class and pick a new bike. Please note that if you do unreserve your bike, we cannot guarantee that the bike you preferred will be available the next time you try to reserve your new bike.

Alternatively, you may request an alternate bike on the day of the class itself at check in, should other bikes be available.

Does it matter which bike I choose?

Not necessarily, it is purely down to personal preference.

I have a ClassPass subscription, can I join through ClassPass?

Yes, we’re available on the ClassPass app! You won’t be able to choose or move your allocated bike once booked into a class though.

I forgot my bike number, is there a way to check?

You can check your bike number via your confirmation email, sent immediately after securing your class booking.

Alternatively, you can check all your class/booking details by logging into your account via our website. Just click Login/Signup at the top right navigation bar, enter your account details, click on the burger icon to the right, click My Classes. Here you will see the details of all your classes, you will also be able to cancel classes on this page too.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

We allow riders to cancel their class without a penalty should the cancellation be made 12 hours before the stated class time in their confirmation email. If cancellations are made within the 12 hour period before the stated class time, the booking cannot be cancelled and the credit will be forfeited.

Can I cancel my class booking?

Yes - you can cancel your class anytime before the stated start time. However, if you cancel a class within 12 hours of the stated class time, your credit will be forfeited and you will not be able to claim it back under any circumstance.

I forgot to cancel before the 12 hour window, can I still cancel?

Yes you can, however your credit will be forfeited and you will not be able to claim it back under any circumstances.

I’m running late to class, will I still be able to ride?

You will have up to 10 minutes to join the class, should you arrive late. However, once the start time of your reserved class has passed, we will have to give your reserved bike to another rider who has come on time - which means you'll have to use any remaining bikes which are free.

Will I still get my reserved bike if I'm late?

No, your bike will be forfeited and will be given to anyone who requests your bike. We will not be able to hold your bike even if you have given us notice.

I'm running late and it's my first time indoor cycling, can I still ride?

If it is your first time Indoor Cycling, we highly recommend for you to arrive at the studio between 20-25 minutes before the stated start time of your class. If you arrive late and miss the briefing and warm-up period of the class (usually 5-10 minutes after the start time), you will be denied entry to the Ride Room. This is so we can ensure you are safe whilst you ride and are in perfect condition to enjoy yourself throughout the 45 minute class.

What is rhythmic indoor cycling?

Rhythmic indoor cycling incorporates the principles Hight Intensity Interval Training through the use of an indoor cycling bike. The workout includes periods (intervals) which focus on speed, endurance, strength, and active recovery.

Each interval is tied to song, where riders will ride to the beat of the music, incorporating simple or complex body movements, whilst pedalling to the beat of the music.

Our Instructors will guide throughout the entire class - setting the pace and count of your feet whilst you pedal, queuing in upper body movements, and keeping you focused, inspired and motivated throughout the entire ride.

How long is a class?

A class is 45 minutes long, which includes a warmup and cooldown.

There are typically 8-10 songs in a single class, where each song has a specific routine which works on speed or endurance on the bike.

There will also be one song dedicated to your upper body, using weights you can collect and place on your bike before the class starts.

What time should I arrive at the studio?

You should arrive 15-20 minutes before the stated class time. This will give you enough time to get yourself settled, collect your shoes and setup your bike.

We HIGHLY recommend first time riders to come 20 minutes before the class, so you can be briefed on all the essentials.

I cancelled my reservation because I wanted to change bikes and I didn’t get my ticket back - can I get it back?

This was a system malfunction when the event went on sale on Saturday 14.05.22. We have resolved the issue, however if you bought your ticket before Tuesday 17.05.22, we will send you a replacement ticket for you to use.

What type of classes does Journey offer?

At Journey we provide 3 levels of classes: EMBARK (beginner), RISE (intermediate), and PEAK (Advanced).

We recommend new riders to do our EMBARK classes first, as these classes are dedicated to first time riders.

If you have experience in riding the RISE class will be the perfect class for you.

PEAK is for those who want to challenge themselves - we recommend PEAK for experienced riders as there will be several advanced movements throughout the entire class.

It’s my first time cycling, do you have a beginner class?

Yes we do! Our EMBARK classes are dedicated to first time riders. Our instructor and Guides will help you set up your bike and run through everything you’ll need to know before the class starts.

How many bikes are there in the Ride Room?

At the moment, we have a maximum capacity of 23 bikes. At most, the Ride Room can hold up to 30 bikes.

What kind of music do you play in the class?

Do I need to bring anything with me to join the class?

You will need to bring a pair of socks and a water bottle. We provide cycling shoes for you to use before the class and the studio has a water dispenser for you to fill up your bottle.

Do I have to pay for shoes?

No, we provide shoes free of charge and are sanitised after every class.

It’s my first time doing indoor cycling, what do I do?

We recommend new riders to do our EMBARK classes first, as these classes are dedicated to first time riders.

Our instructor and Guides will help you set up your bike and run through everything you’ll need to know before the class starts.

I have my own shoes, will they work with your bikes?

Our bikes support SPD 2-point cleats and KLEO three-point cleats.

I forgot to bring socks, what do I do?

We sell various kinds of socks in-studio, just ask our Guides and they’ll sort you out!

I’m running late to class, will I still be able to ride?

You will have up to 10 minutes to join the class, should you arrive late. However, once the start time of your reserved class has passed, we will have to give your reserved bike to another rider who has come on time - which means you'll have to use any remaining bikes which are free.

Do you have lockers?

Yes we do! We have lockers located in the main waiting area, as well as towards the back of the studio, near the toilets.

I forgot the code to my locker, what do I do?

Drop by the front desk, one of our Guides will help open up the locker and reset the code.

Do you provide water?

We have a water dispenser located towards the back of the studio, near the toilets. We also sell water, just as our Guides at our front desk and they'll help you out.

Do you have showering facilities?

Our shower facilities are open again! Please note that we DO NOT provide towels, but they can be purchased at the front desk.

Do you sell any food at the studio?

Currently we don’t provide food within our studio. However, we do sell T Bars (a protein bar) which you can have for a light pre/post workout snack.

Do you have a hairdryer?

We have a hairdryer available for use - you’ll have to request it via our front desk and one of our Guides will pass it to you.

How much is parking?

Parking in Plaza Zurich is usually RM6 for the first hour and RM3 for every other hour. We do provide parking validation between 9am to 6pm at RM3 for the first hour. To validate your parking, you’ll need to get the ticket stamped by one of our Guides at the front desk, and then bring the ticket to the parking office located at B1.

We recommend driving out in your car towards the exit and then validating your parking, as you’ll pass the office on the way out.

If you are looking to validate your parking, PLEASE DO NOT INSERT YOUR TICKET IN THE PAYMENT MACHINE - if you insert your ticket into the machine, you will not be able to validate your parking via the parking office.

What is Journey Online?

Journey Online is our virtual class solution tailored to meet the demands of the industry during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The Ride Room was built with Live Virtual Classes in mind, providing Live Classes in HD, fully mixed audio, with the instructor perfectly positioned for your screen. We take pride in being able to provide one of the best Virtual Live Class services in the market, and will continue to provide Live Rides post-pandemic.

How do I join a Live Ride?

You will need to purchase a Virtual Credit from our ‘Buy’ page. Once you have a Virtual Credit, you can join a class via the Online Schedule.

Once you’ve registered for a Live Ride, you’ll need to make sure you have the Zoom app downloaded on your preferred device with a registered Zoom account. Be sure to change your username to the same name as your Journey account so our Guides can check you in!

An email will be sent to you an hour before the start of the class, with a reminder email 5 minutes before the class. The email will have the Zoom link, which you can click to enter the Live Ride virtual room.

You’ll be directed to the Zoom waiting room and be directed to a countdown page. When the countdown ends, the instructor will transition in and you’re ready to Ride at home!

Do I need to download the Zoom app?

Yes, our Live Rides are currently conducted on Zoom, so you will need to have the Zoom app downloaded with an active Zoom account to join our Live Rides.

How does Zoom work?

Once you have downloaded Zoom and created an account, be sure to change your username to the same name as your Journey account so our Guides can check you in. You can change your display name in the settings menu in the Zoom dashboard.

An email will be sent to you an hour before the start of the class, with a reminder email 5 minutes before the class. The email will have the Zoom link, which you can click to enter the Live Ride virtual room.

You’ll be directed to the Zoom waiting room and be directed to a countdown page. When the countdown ends, the instructor will transition in and you’re ready to Ride at home!

Can I turn on my mic during the class?

No. We will mute all participants upon entry to ensure the best possible experience for every rider in the Live Ride.

I didn’t receive a link to my Live Ride

Sometimes links get lost, sent to another email, or get sent into another inbox. If you can’t find your link, do drop a message to hello@journey-ours.com or message our Journey@Home Whatsapp group - you can join the group by clicking here.

You can opt to call our Studio, but keep in mind our Live Rides run concurrently with our in-studio rides so our Guides may not be at the front desk during the start of the class.

Do I have to turn on my camera?

No. You can choose to keep your camera turned off, but we recommend turning your video on! Our instructors have your video right in front of them, opposite the stage, and can help provide feedback and help push and motivate you throughout the ride.

I don’t own a bike at home, do you still rent out bikes?

Unfortunately, as restrictions have lifted and the studio is back up and running, we have stopped our Bike Rental service as we have moved all our bikes back into the Ride Room.
